Lt. Owen Fish American Legion Post 143
Your American Legion Post 143 respectfully retired hundreds of worn and tired American flags today with the gracious help of our friends at @win_waste Wheelabrator in Bridgeport, CT. Michael from @fairfield_ct_police_cadets also returned to help us after we folded and honored every single flag for this ceremony. When you deposit an old flag in any of the drop-off locations around town, you can rest assured each flag will be honored and retired respectfully. Thank you to Anthony, Tony, Chris, and Michael at @win_waste for helping us with this endeavor. #oldglory #americanlegion See MoreSee Less

Thanks to Gabriel Vahey’s Eagle Project for @troop82ffld , we are able to collect tired and worn flags from around town and prepare them for a dignified retirement. Special thanks to members from @fairfield_ct_police_cadets for helping us fold each and every flag today- in order to render one last honor before they are disposed of in an honorable ceremony later this week.
