Hall Rental

The Lt. Owen Fish Memorial American Legion Banquet Hall is available for private events, with or without catering. Rentals help Post 143 support our veterans and our outreach in the community. Thank you for supporting a veterans organization.

Post 143 does not provide catering, bar service, or event staff. The hall has a kitchen and serving area — counters, refrigerator, and food warmer — that a private caterer may use. The caterer brings serviceware and is responsible for kitchen cleanup.

The hall hosts wedding receptions, birthdays, anniversaries, office parties, luncheons, holiday parties, and similar gatherings.

Entrance and parking are at the rear of Lt. Owen Fish Memorial Park, Stratfield Road, Fairfield. The hall has restrooms. Capacity is 75 with tables, or 100 without tables.

Rental fee: $600 for the day (9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; hours must run consecutively). A $60 refundable security deposit is required. Current, dues-paid Post 143 members receive a discount and must attend the event. Setup may begin early; cleanup must be finished by 10 p.m. The 10 p.m. close is set by the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department.

Before the event you will need liability insurance (GatherGuard information is below), and you are responsible for any alcohol served. No one under 21 may be served or consume alcohol. Smoking, open flames, and confetti are not permitted. Full rules, the decoration policy, and the cancellation terms are in the rental rules PDF.
